     5th Grade-  Students will be taking a tour of the "Writing Lab" today.  I will be showing them what all of the stations will consist of and modeling/practicing these rotations.  The stations today that I will inform students about will be: a word-processor/typing tutor station, a blogging/research station, a teacher conference station, a skill enrichment station, and an independent writing draft station.  If enough time allows I will be introducing the classroom blog to respond to.

Activities:
     5th Grade-  Due to recent assessments and observations I am going back to paragraph writing.  Students have showed that they have not mastered the idea of a topic and conclusion sentence.  I feel the need to review for a couple days and "rebuff" this very important skill.
     6th Grade-  The 6th graders act like everything they learned last year in writing is all forgotten.  I need to revisit paragraph writing.  If I do not do so I cannot have a successful lesson on "Introduction Paragraphs".  We will be reviewing what a topic sentence is, how to write one, and taking notes about Introduction Paragraphs.
